How long will I be in therapy? How many sessions can I expect?

There is no one answer to this question. At minimum you can expect 4 to 5 sessions as necessary to make progress and gain insight on what brought you into therapy. Some clients may find a few sessions are sufficient or will choose to continue therapy long-term (20 sessions or more) because of the amazing work that can be done over an extended period.

More times than not, people continue to work with me because different things arise through the work and others may choose to engage with additional presenting issues outside of the counseling journey. There is no correct answer, your journey is your journey, but we can work together to help you make the choice for yourself.

Why are you not accepting my insurance?

The process of getting on specific insurance boards can take 30 – 90 days and then there is no guarantee I will be accepted on the insurance panel; usually because they feel they “have enough providers in the area.” Therefore, I must wait until a spot opens and I can fill it!

Even if I am not on your insurance, we can use my self-pay rates so you can be seen on a regular and recurring basis with no lapse in care.

What happens if I cannot afford the self-pay rate?

Please do not let my rates discourage you from contacting me! I have found more than often that I am able to come up with an acceptable self-pay rate for most people.

Even if this does not work and we cannot find a rate. I have been able to refer people to other excellent therapist in the Eau Claire, WI area who may be able to better accommodate your financial situation.
